When we decide to embark on the journey of self-discovery and self-love, we often unconsciously expect a miracle, hoping that all our inner wounds will heal overnight. The reality, however, is that growing deep within ourselves is a gradual process that demands profound patience. It took years for our limiting beliefs and inner critics to take root, so naturally, clearing and rebuilding them takes time and gentle persistence.
Self-love is not about reaching a flawless, final destination; rather, it is the art of holding your own hand through every stumble, failure, and grey day. This journey is much like planting a seed in the soil. In the beginning, no matter how much water and sunlight you provide, you see no visible sign of a sprout. Yet, this stillness is deceptive—beneath the surface, the seed is quietly building its strongest roots in the dark.
Therefore, if you are still wrestling with old challenges today, it never means you have failed. It simply means your inner tree is growing deeper roots so it can stand resilient against future storms. Be gentle with yourself, trust this slow yet profound process, and allow time to bloom the truest version of who you are.
